Fundemabu History

In 1957, Sister Vianney, headmaster from Marymount school and part of Mary’s Sacred Heart religious members, had the idea of creating an institution to provide education to girls, that for economic reasons, did not have access to it.

Today the educational foundation Madre Butler (Fubdemabu) is located in Barranquilla, Colombia. The foundation works as an educational avenue and brings hope to more than 350 girls from low income families.

Each year, the graduating class from Fundemabu achieves some of the most outstanding academic scores in the country, demonstrating the commitment from the girls, their families and the foundation’s staff.
